Data Science Nigeria has a vision to raise 1 million AI talents in 10 years in Nigeria. We have a range of platforms from bootcamps, physical classes and campus clubs etc. Teaching and talking about AI. We have noticed a skew in the gender of participants and we are working actively to get more women involved, from guaranteeing a percentage of entry for female participants at the last boot camp to starting up a Ladies Like AI Professional Mentorship Platform. The organization is very influential in building communities, so even though our ongoing and completed academic research is mostly related to general concepts and not exactly gender specific, we are wielding the influence in getting more women on the AI train
