I focus on the intersection of human language and computing. I rely on tools like Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing. One of my main research projects is Automatic Machine Translation for the Mexican Indigenous Languages, which is challenging since there needs to be more data to create state-of-the-art systems. However, this situation creates the opportunity to collect data from a different perspective.
