Politics of knowledge production, participatory action research, gender politics and data activism

About the work

As a research affiliate at the Data+Feminism Lab at MIT, I am part of a collaborative action-research project focused on understanding data activism and knowledge production about gender-related violence and feminicide across the Americas.

Impact

As part of the above project, we have been working with civil society organisations and activists to develop a tailored email alert system that combines a media database and a collaboratively trained machine learning algorithm to report possible cases of femicide and support feminicide monitoring in different countries.
