We’ve been nominated! Vote at the 2020 WSIS Prizes

We are asking for your support to tackle gender bias in algorithms and place a vote for the <A+> Alliance for this 2020 WSIS Prize.

Alliance, the global coalition led by Women at the Table based in Geneva and Fundación Ciudadanía Inteligente based in Santiago works to not only detect, but correct, gender bias in Artificial Intelligence and has been nominated for a 2020 WSIS Prize in International & Regional Cooperation. WSIS, the World Summit on the Information Society headquartered at ITU, focuses on projects and activities that leverage the power of ICTs to advance sustainable development.

2020 is a critical year for women’s rights – it will mark 25 years since the adoption of the Beijing Platform for Action and 5 years since the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Looking towards the future we must tackle bias in ICTs, place it, and keep it at the top of the multilateral agenda. This is particularly urgent given the scale at which Automated Decision-Making (ADM) systems are being deployed.

We are asking for your support to tackle gender bias in algorithms and place a vote for the Alliance for this 2020 WSIS Prize. To do so, please follow the simple voting instructions below. And feel free to share if the spirit moves you! VOTING CLOSES on 24 January.
