I undertake research on privacy, surveillance, cyber security, freedom of expression, and AI.
Much of the work I have undertaken in AI has been related to understanding regulatory approaches and responses to AI. I am interested in further understanding how stakeholders can take a ‘feminist’ approach to developing AI ecosystems and creating guidelines for the use of the technology. This includes examining how objectives are framed, what metrics are used, and what kind of ‘red lines’ are drawn.
