The Alliance for Inclusive Algorithms is seeking up to 2 technology fellows to pilot algorithms with affirmative actions in order to foster gender and race equality into systems.
If you are designing AI systems and interested in exploring how machine learning and artificial intelligence can impact the lives of women and girls for good, this fellowship is for you.
For six months you will work closely with the fr Network and with Women at the Table to develop technology prototypes and pilots and test a different future for gender inclusion. The post is remote, however, the fellow will need to own equipment and reliable Internet connection, as well as availability for coordination calls and remote brainstorming in a CET-compatible timezone.
What are we looking for?
- Early career technologists building ML systems and AI.
- Interested in public interest technology.
- Interested in gender and racial justice.
- Happy to work remotely.
The fellow is expected to dedicate at least 25 hours per week to the project, for six months, with her/his/their own equipment and good connectivity. The stipend for the fellowship is CHF 12,000.00.
You can apply between 28 September and 22 October 2020. We will review applications on a rolling basis and we will inform you of our decision by 30 October at the latest. If you are successful we will send you an Award letter and terms which you need to review, sign and return to us by 1 November 2020.
The Fellowship can then start any time between that date and 1 January 2021. We will pay the first quarterly payment on commencement of your Fellowship.
