I do research and teach on human rights and technology, focusing on gender and access to knowledge
I am currently working on a project about hate speech against women, and besides policy work we're investigating social media algorithms and a taxonomy of hate against women. At InternetLab, we have been working on different projects around algorithmic discrimination and policy opinions on the use of AI in public and private initiatives. I am also discussing AI and discrimination in graduate classes.
The impact of this work is twofold: in policy directly (public or private, that is, influencing internet platforms / other companies technical and contractual policies), and in raising awareness among the publics.
