InternetLab is a law and technology think tank based in São Paulo, Brazil.
Our mission is to produce evidence-based and impact-oriented social and legal research and analyses to identify and clarify critical issues, thereby helping to build the intellectual and evidential foundation for public awareness, action and policy-making. In my work, I tackle different subjects from gender violence and gender equality to privacy rights and access to knowledge. I am interested in understanding which regulatory and governance solutions can work to foster gender equality and dismantle systems of oppression in the development and deployment of AI systems, particularly when it concerns marginalized women in Brazil.
We work to bring research and evidence both to policymakers and to the public in the form of raising awareness, so as to impact the use of technology for gender equality and gender equality in technology from social norms and culture to national, international, community and private regulations.
